Ground Cherry

If you haven't grown ground cherries yet- there is no time like the present! This is a must-grow in every garden if you enjoy tropical, fruity flavours. Abundant, small, orange fruit enclosed in papery lanterns present on bushy plants. Ready for harvest when the fruit drops to the ground (hence the name "ground" cherry) and their papery lanterns are a beige colour.
